Inspections cover over 100 checkpoint items including: safety devices (emergency brakes, overspeed governors), doors and interlocks, cables and sheaves, control systems, machine room equipment, pit conditions, cab interior, and emergency communications. Testing includes operational and safety tests.

Common findings include: worn door equipment, inadequate lighting, missing or damaged signage, phone/communication issues, oil leaks, worn cables or sheaves, fire service operation problems, and code updates from new regulations. Most are minor and easily corrected.

Violations are categorized by severity. Minor violations allow continued operation with correction required within 30-90 days. Major violations may require immediate correction or restricted operation. We provide detailed correction plans and can perform all necessary repairs.

Annual inspection fees typically range from $200-$500 per elevator depending on type and number of floors. Five-year full-load tests cost more due to additional equipment and time required. Bundle pricing available for multiple elevators.

Yes, upon successful inspection we provide official certificates of compliance required for building operation, insurance, and legal requirements. Certificates are typically valid for one year and must be posted in the elevator car.
